New technologies are facilitating the online sexual exploitation of children, including the live-streaming of sexual abuse of children using web cameras or cell phones, often for profit. Mobile devices also provide new and evolving means by which offenders sexually abuse children as apps are being used to target, recruit, and coerce children to engage in sexual activity.*
Protect Us Kids Foundation is working to establish strategic partnerships with other national and international organizations and NGOs towards addressing the online sexual exploitation of children. It is our hope, through information sharing and collaboration, that we can further our efforts towards helping youth who reside in underserved and rural communities by providing a different lens as to the behavioral and socioeconomic factors unique to this population and their susceptibility to online sexual exploitation.
