Call for Speakers: Safe Futures Conference: Empowering Rural and Marginalized

The Protect Us Kids Foundation warmly invites you to participate as a speaker at the "Safe
Futures Conference", set to take place virtually in September 2024. This pivotal event
aims to tackle the unique challenges encountered by children and adults in rural and
marginalized communities within the evolving digital landscape. Through a
comprehensive dual-track format, this conference seeks to equip adults with robust
knowledge and tools to fight against online child sexual exploitation and abuse (OCSEA)
and online child commercial sex trafficking, while simultaneously providing children
with engaging, educational content for safe online navigation.

• Submission Deadline for Proposals: May 15, 2024
• Speaker Selections Confirmed: June 15, 2024
Conference Focus:
• Adult Track: Calling experts ready to share insights and strategies tailored for
the protection of children in underserved communities. We're interested in
innovative solutions in cybersecurity, digital literacy enhancement, effective
safety protocols, and the use of technology to foster inclusive, secure online
environments.
• Children's Track: Looking for dynamic presentations and workshops designed
to educate and engage young minds. Content should be approachable and
appealing for children from diverse backgrounds, emphasizing online safety, the
significance of digital footprints, and the cultivation of positive online behavior.
Invitation to Speakers:
• Experts in cybersecurity, mental health, law enforcement, technology innovation,
and academia with specialized knowledge in safeguarding digital spaces for
children, especially in rural and marginalized communities.
• Educators, child psychologists, and content creators with experience in crafting
educational, child-friendly materials that promote digital safety and literacy.

Proposals will be reviewed for their alignment with the conference's aims, innovation,
potential impact on the audience, and the speaker's proven expertise in addressing the
digital safety needs of rural and marginalized communities.
